Water Treatments. Swimming pool equipment sheds or buildings are usually quite small. Please don't store wet children in with the concentrated swimming pool chemicals, the electrical equipment and the hot gas heater. Never mix chemicals together out of the pool..... and add chemicals to water not the other way round. Don't put your lawnmower full of petrol (or spare petrol tanks) anywhere near any of the swimming pool equipment (especially the open flame heater).
Keep the swimming pool treatments in a cool dry place away from children. Handle swimming pool chemicals with caution using appropriate clothing, gloves, mask and eye protection. Chemicals in their concentrated form can be harmful to all.
Looking after swimming pool water is routine....the aim is to keep the water clean, clear and germ free. Test the water regularly and add what the tests show.
Sanitizers There are many different ways of sanitising your swimming pool both to stop the water turning green with algae and to stop germs breeding or spreading.
Chlorine, Bromine, High oxygen, Ozone, Ionisation, are a few of the popular sanitizers but you can also add algaecides to reduce the amount of sanitizer required to keep the algae at bay.
Clarifiers are available to aid the filtration keep the water sparklingly clear. See the range at your local swimming pool shop or look in our shop section for what is available.
There is probably a wealth of knowledge among the managers and staff of your local swimming pool store and we are sure they will all be only too pleased to help. We do come across new problems occasionally and are interested to solve them. Others in the swimming pool business are keen to help.
